Good evening guys and gals. I have a question concerning proof. I have found that if I do not boil my grains, then my proof is higher coming out (130-140). If I boil my grains my proof is lower (80-100). I have been experimenting for about a year and I have gotten my mix to a flavor that all seem to enjoy regardless of proof. So, now I am at a point to where I want to start getting into the nuts and bolts of the science of distilling. Any help would be appreciated.
