    • sounds good.

    • That’s how I like to do it. Convert the starches to sugars in the grains without adding any sugar. Usually 2 lbs of grains per gallon of mash and you’re right on target.

      • That’s how I like to do it. Convert the starches to sugars in the grains without adding any sugar. Usually 2 lbs of grains per gallon of mash and you’re right on target.

    the temps were as high as 103f after 15 hours , should have checked it in the night i guess. is that gonna ruin anything?

    Hi, Im new to distilling and have cooked a few batches on my alembic 100l still using beer that turned out nice but now i made my first mash and am worried that my temps in the mash tun ran too hat last night… still bubbling hard after i knocked down a hard crust on top any help out there would be appreciated.
