    • morning folks im here in alaska down the chain i’ve been interested in making my own i do like my whiskey and beer where i,m at i,m paying 100 for a case of beer and 65 for a 5th of r&r so i bought a 15 gallon keg still with a 2 inch copper reflux,s column and im going to make my own some of the folks here make water/ potato /sugar /yeast / brew it for about 4 to 5 day,s &and it,s nasty so i have a 10 gallon bucket to ferment in 100 lb cracked corn 100 lb sugar 10 lb 2 row brewers malt a bag of distillers yeast and i would greatly excepet your know how on starting my first batch of mash if i need to order enything so be it thank you for your help :}

      • Make small batches till you get it right. less waste. When you do get it right or close to right, invest in a charred oak barrel, it will give it a nice dark color and flavor it up like you wont believe. I bought a 2 1/2 gallon deep char on ebay for 100 bucks plus 60 bucks delivery to New York from Mexico.

    • with supplies being hard to get not to mention costly I suggest you make sour mash that way you can get the most out of your supply theres a uncle jesses sour mash recipe in the recipe section I believe if not I can shoot you one. also theres a book you should get called moonshine its a good beginners book covers a little of everything.
